Setting up roadworks

The following requirements must be met to ensure waste disposal:

• Inform waste disposal companies, involve them if necessary – if possible around four weeks before the start of construction
• Inform residents
• Consider the trafficability of the road
  • Total weight of the waste disposal vehicle up to 26 t; ground clearance 0.2 m
  • Minimum clearance height/clearance profile 4.00 m
  • Turning system: minimum diameter 18 m; avoid reversing
• If container collection points have to be set up: If possible, the waste containers should be collected from the construction site and returned by employees of the construction companies on the collection days. It has proven to be a good idea to include this requirement in the specifications for tenders.
